Gritting schedule

Saturday, 4th January 2025

Forecast: Lots of cloud around this afternoon with a few showers around, some wintry. Cloudy through the evening, but cold with RSTs falling below zero with a risk of ice. Then, snow showers will become more frequent around 2100-2200, followed by a heavier and more persistent band of snow which will continue through the night and the following morning. This will lead to very significant snow depths, with some driving possible for the over higher roads. Snow accumulations of 3-5cm are expected all all levels, with 5-10cm anticipated widely inland. Over the highest roads above 300m, accumulations of 10-20cm are possible, with greater depths not being ruled out due to possible drifting. Additionally, as snow will continue through tomorrow afternoon, further significant accumulations are expected.

The roads highlighted on the map were scheduled to be treated on this date.
