Cumberland Council is reminding residents; businesses and visitors of upcoming road closures and traffic management arrangements associated with the Workington Gateway Project and other planned highway improvements. Some dates have been revised following recent adverse weather conditions.

Thousands of spectators gathered across Cumberland on Wednesday 19 August to watch the opening stage of the Lloyds Tour of Britain Women, enjoying a day of world-class cycling as the race passed through communities across the area.
