Welcome to Cumberland

Cumbria is set to take centre stage at the Houses of Parliament next month as political leaders, investors and industry representatives gather together for an economic showcase designed to unlock the county’s next chapter of growth.

Work has started on clearing land at the Port of Workington and Oldside to prepare the area for future development. Once complete, around 8.49 hectares of development land will be available.

A new Innovation Centre in Workington is on track for practical completion next month and has an operator in place to run the building.
