Company background
Bradcare was founded in 2005 and incorporated in 2007 by its previous owner and director.
Over the years, Bradcare has built a strong and dedicated team, with some staff members having been with the company for more than 15 years. This longevity reflects our dedication to both our employees and the quality of care we deliver to our service users. Bradcare has supported hundreds of service users in Swadlincote, South Derbyshire. The company was taken over by Craig Maxwell and Sara Ramiah (mother and son) on 18th December 2023.
Craig has 18 years of business experience across IT, telecom, supply chain, and healthcare, with seven years in the healthcare sector. He previously worked as Head of Applied Healthcare Professionals at Medics Pro, managing over 1,600 candidates. He was later Director at Eleanor Healthcare Group, where he drove business development, implemented new software, led recruitment campaigns, expanded care services, and established a PPE supplies company serving NHS trusts and private service users. Craig also helped launch private home care services in Kent and Surrey.
Craig is driven to grow Bradcare by improving training, streamlining operations, and expanding services to new areas. He is focused on developing day centres in rural communities and creating local job opportunities. He is dedicated to establishing an outstanding home care service in Carlisle and there is a possibility of an Allerdale Branch office. Craig is currently enrolled in a Level 5 Registered Manager course.
Sara has over 40 years of experience in business and executive operations, starting her career in the early 1980s at Midland Bank (now HSBC). She spent two decades at the Royal National Institute for the Blind in various senior management roles, including pension oversight. Later, she provided financial advisory services at Weston Cummins and served as finance manager at a London boutique firm, where she facilitated over £75 million in transactions.
