Early Help training and support for professionals

Support and advice for professionals delivering Early Help, including consultancy, guidance and workforce development.

Early Help Area Officers within the Family Help - Partnership and Assurance Team, provide Early Help consultancy to support professionals across the partnership.

They provide:

  • advice when you're unsure whether to contact the Cumberland Children's Advice Support Service (CCASS)
  • checks to see if a child or family is already known to children and families services
  • help with completing an Early Help Assessment
  • support for Early Help Lead Practitioners using a strengths-based approach
  • briefings, training and guidance to improve Early Help delivery
  • support and challenge to ensure Early Help Assessments lead to meaningful outcomes
  • help to identify and reduce delay in Early Help support
