Warm Spots

A Warm Spot offers a warm, welcoming space for people to visit this winter if they need it. They are run by a range of different organisations including churches, village halls, local councils and libraries.

Age UK Carlisle and Eden

At each session there will be advice available from a range of service providers as well as Age Uk Carlisle and Eden

Beckermet Reading Rooms (Beckermet Village Association)

Community based drop in centre. Tea/Coffee/cake/biscuits all free of charge although donations accepted. Activities such as jigsaws and games available.
Tea/Coffee/Cakes & Biscuits all available free of charge. Free WIFI access

Carlisle Youth Zone

CYZ Winter Warm Zone is for young people aged 7 - 18yrs (up to 24yrs with additional needs). Young people can now access our Youth Clubs free and receive a free hot meal and drink. Our Senior members (11yrs+) can also access our after school gym for free
A warm drink is available during every session and a free hot meal will also be provided during our Youth Clubs (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday).

Hallbankgate Hub

Busy community space, shop and cafe. separate quiet area with library, gallery, comfy chairs. Tea and coffee available, cakes, soup and snacks.
We would be offering subsidised tea and coffee. The cafe serves home made soup, scones and home made bread, beans on toast and cakes.
Anyone would be welcome to come and use our warm space and spend time at the Hub. They could bring their own computer, or read books from the library, a newspaper, or watch the word go by!
The Hub has a paid manager but the day to day running is done by volunteers. It is a friendly and welcoming place.

Healthy Hopes Cumbria

Our drop-ins are a place where people 18+ can come for a cuppa and chat on a weekly basis in a group environment. Sometimes we have guest speakers from other organisations to give information/advice of what goes on in our area.
