Services for secondary schools

We provide a range of services to help secondary schools manage libraries, access specialist resources, and support staff development.

Long-term loan collections

Borrowing books on a long-term basis is more cost-effective than buying and replacing them as subject requirements change.

Our stock is selected and regularly updated by specialist staff to ensure wide coverage and up-to-date resources.

You can exchange all or part of your collection during the year.

Continuing professional development (CPD)

Our CPD service helps you network with other secondary school library staff and stay informed about new initiatives.

A subscription includes:

  • three half-day CPD meetings per year
  • access to key reports, research, and publications
  • loan of professional resources
  • meeting notes, even if you can’t attend, so you stay up to date with current practices, trends and new initiatives

Library support and development

We can help you create a school library that is welcoming, accessible, and designed to support learning.

Our service can be tailored to your needs and may include:

  • stock management and development
  • raising the profile of the library within school
  • support with library policies and development plans
  • planning and self-evaluation
  • training for new staff or library assistants
  • library design
  • practical help as agreed

Project boxes

Borrow a box of books to support a specific project or topic.

Each box contains 15 up-to-date books and is loaned for one term with delivery and collection direct to your school.

Extra resources can be borrowed at an additional cost.
