Cumberland Council is informing the community that planned works, scheduled for this evening and the following nights in the Muncaster area have been postponed.
The project aims to assess the bridge structures load capacity, for Muncaster Mill Bridge and Muncaster Bridge on A595, with the aim of identifying possible future maintenance needs.
The postponement of the scheduled works is a precautionary measure considering weather forecasts.
Cumberland Council is dedicated to prioritising the safety of both staff and the community throughout these operations. As a result, the rescheduled works will be scheduled within the next month, for four to six nights.
The community will receive advance notice of at least seven days before the commencement of the rescheduled works.
