Cumberland Council, in partnership with Cumbria Wildlife Trust and Cleator Moor Town Council, is excited to announce a Planting for Pollinators talk, on Monday 25 March.

The Planting for Pollinators talk will take place on Monday 25 March, from 6.30pm – 7.30pm in Cleator Moor Town Council office in Market Square, Cleator Moor.

The evening talk will explore the world of pollinators and discuss the importance of habitats that work for the local environment, and gain practical tips on how you can contribute to the Planting for Pollinators initiative.

This free event is open to all, but please RSVP to Charlotte Rankin at Charlotte.Rankin@cumbriawildlifetrust.org.uk to secure your place.

Cumberland Council continues to commit to their Pollinators Strategy.

Cumberland Councillor Bob Kelly, Executive Member for Cumberland Policy and Regulatory Services, said:

“We're committed to raising awareness about pollinators and their habitat needs, and this talk in Cleator Moor will be an ideal starting point for many people.

“We hope that the local community will come and join us at this talk, where discussions will take place about pollinating insects and how they rely on flowers for nectar and pollen, and how we can all help to play a part in improving our local areas for pollinators.”
