New digital forms to help keep Cumberland's streets clean

Residents across Cumberland can now use a new suite of online reporting forms making it easier for them to report environmental issues such as dog fouling, fly tipping, littering, and more.

The new system allows residents to report problems directly from their smartphones or devices while out and about, as well as receive updates on their reports. As they are web-based they also work on laptops and computers.

This marks the first time a unified approach has been adopted across the whole of Cumberland, streamlining the process for both the public and council teams.

Cllr Denise Rollo, Executive member with responsibility for the Sustainable, Resilient and Connected Places portfolio, said: "This is a big step forward in the process of harmonising our systems and processes. These forms make it easier for people to report issues that, as councillors, we know are a real priority for them to get sorted. They also help us deliver better services and improve the environment in communities across Cumberland."

The new forms replace the online services previously provided by the myCumberland (formerly myAllerdale) app and e-forms, as well as the e-forms previously used by residents in the former Carlisle City Council area.

Residents in the former Copeland area can now report incidents electronically for the first time.

Users of the myCumberland app are being redirected to the new forms, before it is switched off in a few weeks.

By reducing the number of systems in use, the Council can reduce costs and improve the effectiveness of its response teams.

The forms are now live and accessible via the Cumberland Council website.

Residents can still report these issues by telephone or by visiting one of the council’s customer service centres.
