People who live and work in the Petteril Bank area are invited to tell Cumberland Council exactly what's needed in their community.
An event on Saturday, 25 July, will ask residents what they love about the area, how it works for them and what could be done better. It will include an exploratory 'walkabout' and a workshop in the community hall to get everyone’s feedback and make sure it is fed into future decision making.
The event will assess the social and physical aspects of living in Petteril Bank, and ask whether the amenities and structure of the place serve residents' needs.
Cllr Justin McDermott, Cumberland's Portfolio Holder for Public Health and Communities, said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for residents to make their voices heard in their community. The process helps us map what already exists, what works and what could make things better.
"Gathering people's views will help the council, and other bodies, make better informed decisions in the future, ensuring resources are targeted where they are needed most. I'd urge everyone to come along - we want our communities to be leading voices in the effective planning of services."
