The Governors of St Bede’s RC Primary School wish to appoint an experienced 0.8 SENCO or an excellent practitioner with relevant primary experience who is willing to undertake the accredited SENCO qualification, to join our Senior Management Team & Emotional Well-Being Team.

SENCO Role at St Bede’s
• the SENCO will be responsible for managing and leading SEND provision throughout the school, monitoring the progress of pupils and the impact of the provision to ensure that children's needs are being met. The SENCO leads our team of support staff and provides training updates for them and teaching staff when required
• the role is non-class based although there will be some intervention group teaching. The SENCO has a key role within our Emotional Well-Being Team – liaising with parents and the Family Support Worker. Liaising with incoming parents and other settings is a key part of the role
• The role also includes responsibilities for safeguarding as DDSL. There would be the expectation to work collaboratively with families and external agencies to support to best outcomes for the children at our school
