Teaching Assistant – Permanent (Part-Time)
Monday to Friday 30 hours per week, Term Time Only plus INSET Days

Bransty Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced NVQ Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant to join our passionate and highly motivated team. This is a permanent, part-time post for 30 hours per week, term-time only, starting in September 2025.

We are looking for a flexible and dedicated individual, preferably with experience in Early Years, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2, and a strong background in supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

About the Role
You will play a key role in supporting the learning and development of our pupils. The role will include:
•    Providing 1:1 support for pupils with SEND, including those with ASC, physical/medical difficulties, or severe learning difficulties
•    Supporting teachers across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
•    Delivering high-quality general classroom support
•    Working under the direction of class teachers as well as independently
•    Having a secure understanding of the primary curriculum
•    Using knowledge of systematic synthetic phonics; Read Write Inc. training is desirable

We are looking for someone who:
•    Holds a Level 3 NVQ qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent
•    Has relevant experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting
•    Has strong literacy and numeracy skills
•    Has a sound knowledge of SEN and a passion for inclusive education
•    Is proactive, resourceful and confident in managing learning tasks and classroom routines
•    Is patient, dynamic, and committed to helping every child thrive
•    Can use initiative and work effectively as part of a team
•    Is willing to undertake further SEND training to meet the needs of our pupils

Desirable Skills/Experience:
•    Experience working with children who have:
•    Hearing impairments
•    Physical or medical needs
•    Autism spectrum conditions
