We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and proactive 1:1 SEND Support Assistant to work closely with a child who has physical and medical needs. This role is pivotal in ensuring the child is fully supported throughout the school day, enabling them to access learning and participate in all aspects of school life.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Provide 1:1 support tailored to the physical and medical needs of the pupil.
•    Assist with personal care, mobility, and medical routines as required.
•    Support learning activities under the direction of the class teacher and SENDCo.
•    Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that promotes independence and confidence.
•    Monitor and report progress and concerns to the appropriate staff.
•    Liaise with families and external professionals to ensure consistent and effective care.

Essential Criteria:
•    Experience working with children with SEND, particularly physical and/or medical needs.
•    Understanding of EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans).
•    Patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills.
•    Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with sensitivity.
•    Flexibility and a team-player attitude.

Desirable:
•    Manual Handling and First Aid training.
•    Experience with medical protocols (e.g., administering medication, use of medical equipment).
•    Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent).
