Permanent Part-time (0.4) Special Educational Needs Coordinator

Start Date: 1st September 2025

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator (SENDCo) to join our team on a part-time basis (0.4 FTE). The successful candidate will lead the strategic development of SEND provision across the school and work closely with staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure high-quality support for our pupils with additional needs.

Salary: MPR4 £38,034 – U1 £45,646

Key Responsibilities:
•    Lead the day-to-day operation of SEND policy and provision
•    Coordinate and review provision for children with SEND, including those with EHCPs
•    Support and advise colleagues on inclusive teaching practices
•    Monitor the progress of SEND pupils and ensure accurate record keeping
•    Liaise with external professionals to access specialist support and advice
•    Engage effectively with parents and carers of SEND pupils

We Are Looking For Someone Who:
•    Holds the National Award for SEN Coordination (or is working towards it)
•    Has a strong understanding of current SEND legislation and best practice
•    Has experience working in a primary or early years setting
•    Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills
•    Is organised, proactive, and able to lead with empathy and clarity
•    Is passionate about inclusion and improving outcomes for all children
