Teaching Assistant

Fixed Term Part Time Teaching Assistant until 31st August 2026 due to budgetary funding  

Start Date – as soon as possible

PCD5 - £25,183 per annum, pro rata for 11 hours (two days) per week term time only

St. Michael’s Primary School in Bothel is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our warm and friendly school. With a small school community, fantastic facilities and a wonderful learning environment, we offer a close-knit school family where you’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of learners.

Key responsibilities include:
•    Working with EYFS and KS1 children to provide tailored support, including working with groups for phonics.
•    Supporting the development of a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive.
•    Assisting in the classroom and with the smooth running of daily activities.
•    Building positive relationships with children, staff, and families to promote a collaborative learning experience.

The ideal candidate will have:
•    Experience working in an Early Years and KS1 setting.
•    A passion for helping children achieve their full potential.
•    Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
•    A warm, caring, flexible and patient approach to supporting young learners.
