Cumberland Council hereby give notice that on 16 April 2026 it made the following Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The purpose of the Order is to vary the existing speed limits on Stainburn Road, Stainburn, by extending the current 30 mph speed limit and introducing a 40 mph speed limit. These changes are intended to improve road safety and reduce the risk of danger to people using the road and other traffic.
The Order comes into operation on 16 April 2026 and varies the Cumberland Council (Various Roads in the Borough of Allerdale) (Consolidation and Provision of Speed Limits) Order 2023.
