Overview
There has been a rapid increase in the numbers of electric vehicles on the road. Electric vehicles:
- are cheaper to run and produce less pollution than petrol or diesel vehicles
- have reduced noise pollution
- come with a £3,000 plug-in grant
- are exempt from congestion charges
You won't be able to buy a new petrol or diesel vehicle from 2030.
