Cumberland Local Plan: Issues and options consultation

Find out how to have your say on the first stage of the Cumberland Local Plan through the Issues and Options consultation.

About the Issues and Options consultation

The Issues and Options is a very early stage of the Local Plan process. It seeks to identify ‘issues’ which we would like the plan to address based on the current situation and evidence and considers ‘options’ for how the Plan might seek to tackle these issues. The current consultation seeks your views on whether you agree or disagree with the issues we have identified, and whether there are any others you think we should also tackle.

We are currently inviting comments on the first stage of the Cumberland Local Plan. The Issues and Options consultation is your chance to tell us about any of the town planning issues and opportunities in your area. We are also welcoming your ideas regarding how planning policy might address them.

Consultation documents

The main Issues and Options consultation document has a comprehensive set of detailed questions we would like to hear specific views on.

The summary Issues and Options document contains the same topics as the Main document but asks more general questions about each.
