Listings

Love Maryport Living

The focus of the Love Maryport Living initiative is to kickstart the revitalisation of unoccupied spaces above shops encouraging more people to live, socialise and spend in the town.

Maryport Activity Centre

This landmark building near the Harbourside is now a destination for families and fitness fans. We’ve created a fabulous marine themed adventure soft play park, ideal for smaller children, and improved the popular Clip n’ Climb attraction so there are more activities and challenges to tackle.

Maryport Maritime Museum.

Christ Church, one of Maryport’s most prominent and historic landmarks, is going to become the new Maryport Maritime Museum.

Maryport Public Toilets

The public toilets on Irish Street, close to the popular harbourside, have been transformed thanks to local artist Alan Roper.

Public realm

From highway improvements, to new wayfinding signage, as well as a new pocket park - some great changes have been made to Maryport’s public realm.

Shipping Brow Gallery

Shipping Brow Gallery is a new attraction which will display works of art which have never before been seen in public.

The Boardwalk

The Boardwalk may be one of the smallest regeneration projects but it’s received a huge positive response.

The Carlton

This scheme will breathe new life into this historic building on the corner of Senhouse Street and High Street.

The Harbourside

The new colourful Shiver Me Timbers play area and splashpark have already become a fabulous destination for family fun. They’ve been carefully designed to appeal to children of all ages and include some accessible equipment too. The park’s nautically-inspired theme features slides, swings, a zipwire and more.

The Promenade

Maryport’s stunning Promenade will have a fabulous new café with a local operator in the Summer of 2025. It will be perfectly placed for family days out, walks in any weather, and sitting and watching a beautiful sunset.
