Classroom Instrumental Learning (CIL)
Through whole-class teaching you can ensure that every child has an opportunity to learn to sing, play an instrument and create music together in class time.
Our classroom instrumental learning (CIL) programme is designed to spark children’s musical curiosity through:
- playing
- singing
- listening
- creating
- performing
Delivery details
This is a weekly programme.
Lesson length
One session is a minimum of 60 minutes (45 minutes per hour guaranteed delivery time to allow for instrument set-up, tuning and packing away).
Group Size
One whole class.
Minimum Delivery
2 terms or 1 academic year.
One-term programmes may also be considered subject to Music Service timetabling constraints.
Cost
£63 per session for each primary school for one year group (mixed year groups allowed for small schools). These programmes are usually subsidised through the Music Hub fund.
Additional classes cost £73 per session (not subsidised by the Music Hub fund).
