The British Muslim Trust (BMT) has launched a new helpline to help victims of anti-Muslim hate, report incidents safely and get support.
What the helpline offers
The helpline provides a safe space for victims to share their experiences and access tailored support.
You can report incidents through:
- phone – free from any phone, available 10am to 3pm
 - website form – simple three-step form with mostly optional fields
 - email, SMS, WhatsApp and live chat – available anytime, with follow-up the next day

All calls are handled by Muslim staff to ensure cultural and religious understanding.
Why this service matters
BMT is already supporting victims, including women and girls who have been targeted and mosques that have been attacked.
The organisation was chosen to receive funding from the government’s Combatting Hate Against Muslims Fund. This funding helps BMT:
- build a robust reporting system for online and offline incidents
 - support victims directly
 - raise awareness of what counts as a hate crime
 - encourage more reporting from affected communities
