You can apply to make a minor variation to your premises licence. This is a variation that will impact any of the 4 licensing objectives.

Examples of a minor variation
Minor variations include:
- small changes to the structure or layout of a premises
- authorisation for late night refreshment or regulated entertainment - such as performance of plays or film exhibitions
- small changes to licensing hours - but not changes relating to the sale or supply of alcohol
- revisions, removals and additions of conditions - this could include the removal or amendment of out of date, irrelevant or unenforceable conditions, or the addition of volunteered conditions
What a minor variation doesn't cover
You cannot use a minor variation to:
- extend your licence
- change the designated premises supervisor (DPS)
- change any conditions relating to the sale or supply of alcohol

The fee for a major change to a premises licence depends on the rateable value of the premises.

Advertising your application
You must display a notice at the premises for 10 working days, starting the day after you submit your application.
The notice must be printed on white paper and placed where it can be easily seen from outside — people should not have to enter the premises to read it.
