Cumbria Deaf Association has supported Deaf people across Cumbria for more than 130 years, offering a wide range of specialist services to improve wellbeing, independence, communication, and inclusion. Services include British Sign Language (BSL) interpreting, deaf awareness training, BSL courses, community support, and social groups. CDA also provides tailored support for Deaf and Deafblind individuals through care packages, communicator guides, advocacy, and help accessing community opportunities. As a Deaf‑led charity with hubs in Carlisle, Kendal and Barrow, CDA promotes equality, empowerment and accessible communication throughout the region.
