Dogs Trust supports dog adoption across Cumbria through a virtual rehoming centre, with all dogs cared for in local foster homes until adoption. Although there is no physical rehoming centre in Cumbria, the charity continues to rehome dogs locally by using foster carers and arranging pre‑booked appointments only for meet‑and‑greet sessions once an adopter is matched. The service is supported by the national Dogs Trust network and aims to help dogs transition smoothly from foster care into forever homes.
