Family Action – Young Carers & Parent Carers Cumberland

Family Action provides dedicated support for young carers (under 18 who care for an adult with illness, disability, mental health difficulties or substance misuse) and parent carers (parents or primary caregivers of a child or young person with additional needs) across Cumberland. Family Action services in Cumberland operate through several family hubs and centres. Key locations include the Longtown Family Hub (Mary Street, CA6 5UG), North Whitehaven (Hensingham Primary School, CA28 8QZ), and South Whitehaven (Valley School, CA28 8DA). Note that from April 2025, these locations are transitioning to direct management by Cumberland Family Hubs.
