The Freedom Programme is a free, 11–12‑week course designed to help people understand the beliefs and behaviours behind domestic abuse.

Organisation: Freedom Programme

The Freedom Programme is a free, 11–12‑week course designed to help people understand the beliefs and behaviours behind domestic abuse. Created by Pat Craven, the programme explains how abusive behaviour develops, its impact on victims, and how children are affected. It helps survivors make sense of their experiences and builds awareness of healthy versus abusive relationship patterns. Although primarily aimed at women, intensive two‑day versions may also support men—including male victims and men wishing to change harmful behaviour. Programmes run both in‑person and online, delivered by local agencies across the UK.
