Growing Well is a Cumbrian mental health charity and social enterprise that supports people to improve their mental health through supported horticultural activity. People take part in meaningful outdoor work on organic market gardens, supported by trained staff. The activity itself forms the therapy, offering an alternative or addition to talking therapies. People usually attend one regular day per week and can access 1:1 support as part of the programme. Locations/areas covered: Kendal and South Lakes, West Cumbria (including Copeland and Allerdale), Eden, Carlisle and North Cumbria (via Tebay site).
