Sight Support West Cumbria is an independent local charity supporting blind and partially sighted people across West Cumbria. The charity provides information, advice, practical support and opportunities to help people with visual impairments remain independent, connected and active in their communities.
Services include:
Information and advice about living with sight loss
Demonstrations and sales of specialist low-vision equipment
Home visiting and telephone befriending services
Social groups and community activities
Signposting and referrals to other local support services
Support for individuals, families and carers affected by sight loss
The charity operates a Resource and Information Centre in Whitehaven and works closely with local organisations and other sight loss charities across Cumbria to help people access the support they need.
