Cockermouth Day Service

Cockermouth Day Service supports adults with learning disabilities to take part in activities, develop skills and spend time with others.

Activities are based on each person's needs, interests and preferences.

Activities and support

People can take part in activities including:

• cooking and baking
• arts and crafts
• health and beauty
• interactive storytelling
• swimming
• gym sessions

Other activities include Bikes for All, indoor walking football and bowling.

Specialist activities include:

• virtual reality
• rebound therapy
• postural care
• sensory sessions

Local professionals also visit the service to talk about their roles and experiences in the community.

Staff communicate with each person in their preferred way and adapt activities to reflect their interests and goals.
