Hensingham Day Services provides support for adults with complex and profound learning disabilities. Activities and support are based on each person's needs, interests and preferences.
Activities and support
People can take part in activities that support their wellbeing, independence and skills, including:
- rebound therapy
- hydrotherapy
- pet therapy
- community activities
- life skills
- sensory and relaxation activities
- drama and music
- virtual reality
People can also take part in the Workington Diamond Warriors, the day service football team that competes in the Learning Disability FA League.
Staff communicate with each person in their preferred way and adapt activities to reflect their interests and goals.
