The Household Support Fund helps vulnerable households who are in crisis or facing an emergency that’s out of their control.
The fund is for people who have no other way to pay for what they need. It is intended to meet a one-off need rather than ongoing expenses.
Support varies depending on your situation and will be subject to financial checks. You may also be referred to other organisation for longer-term help, such as:
- money and debt advice
- budgeting support
- maximising income
- short-term support with food
Who can apply
To be eligible for support you must:

- be a permanent resident in our area
- be aged 16 and over and be responsible for the Council Tax liability
- not have received a payment from the Household Support Fund in the last 12 months
