Crisis Payments provide immediate short-term help for people facing an unexpected financial crisis.
This may include:
- emergencies such as floods, fires or medical situations
- support for people fleeing domestic abuse
- replacement of essential household items
- sudden income loss, such as redundancy
We are reviewing government guidance and will be co-designing a local scheme with resilience services to make sure support meets local needs.
