Boiler Upgrade Scheme
Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) is a government scheme supporting the decarbonisation of homes.
The scheme is available in England and Wales and is administered by Ofgem. It is funded by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, and is running until December 2027.
You could get a grant to cover part of the cost of replacing fossil fuel heating systems with a heat pump or biomass boiler.

Energy Company Obligation Scheme
The Energy Company Obligation (EC04 and EC04 Flex) Scheme is administered by Ofgem and funding ended in March 2026.
Legislation for the scheme is extended until December 2026 to allow works in progress to be completed.

Great British Insulation Scheme
The Great British Insulation Scheme (GBIS) is administered by Ofgem and closed to new applicants in October 2025.
