Become a library member

By joining the library as an adult (aged 18 or over), you agree to the following terms and conditions.

You agree that you will:

• give accurate information when you register and tell us if your details change
• allow us to store and use your personal information to manage your library membership, in line with the library’s Privacy Notice
• treat library staff, library buildings and other library users with respect
• show your library card (physical or digital) when using library services
• return items you borrow on time and in the same condition as when you borrowed them
• pay charges for items that are lost or damaged
• keep your library card safe and not let anyone else use your account
• accept responsibility for all items borrowed and any other transactions made using your account
• tell us as soon as possible if your library card is lost or stolen
• follow the library’s Acceptable Use policy for public computers and the library byelaws

If you do not follow these terms and conditions, we may suspend or withdraw some or all of your library membership privileges.
