Festive opening hours

Cumberland Libraries will offer services throughout the festive period. BorrowBox will be available 24/7 for e-books, audiobooks and magazines.

The main libraries in Carlisle, Whitehaven and Workington will open on selected days, while all other libraries will close from 1pm on Wednesday 24 December until Friday 2 January 2026, when normal hours resume.
