Cumberland Council is asking local residents to join them at their annual Christmas Memorial Services at Distington Hall Crematorium on Wednesday 13 and Thursday 14 December at 6pm on both days.
The events will be held to remember loved ones and are free to attend.
Tickets need to be allocated in advance as numbers will be limited.

The deadline for supplying a loved one’s name is Friday 1 December.
Distington Walled Garden Café will be offering soup and a roll (£5) and/or homemade mince pies and cakes from 4.30pm on the same dates as the memorial services.
Booking for the Walled Garden is recommended by calling 01946 598305 as spaces are limited.
Other events planned at Distington Walled Garden include:
- Garden Christmas Fete on Saturday 25 November between 10am and 4pm.
Activities include artisan stalls, an ensemble band, falconry and owls plus a visit from Father Christmas. There will also be the chance to see some alpacas too.
The café will be open for food between 10am and 2pm. Refreshments only (cakes and scones) served between 2pm and 3pm.
- Get into the Christmas spirit by attending Distington Walled Garden Café for carols performed by Harps North West. Tickets for the event on Monday 4 December, between 2pm and 3pm, are now available.
Tickets cost £7.50 which will include refreshments. There are limited spaces, so please book your place soon.
