Cumberland Council hard hat

Cumberland Council is reminding residents and businesses to attend a dedicated drop-in session to discuss the next phase of improvement work on Main Street, Cleator, along the A5086.

This session will offer a valuable opportunity to learn more about upcoming enhancements and to speak directly with project managers and technicians.

Drop-in session details:

  • Date: Friday 1 November
  • Times: anytime between 4pm to 6pm
  • Location: Jubilee Rooms, Cleator

The A5086 project is part of a £14.3 million investment from the Government's Levelling Up Fund, aimed at enhancing road infrastructure and reducing future disruptions, making travel smoother and safer for all.

The next phase of works will start on Monday 4 November, and will continue until Tuesday 3 December, weather permitting. This phase includes significant upgrades, such as road network repairs, drainage replacement, traffic sign updates, and refreshing road markings.

Cumberland Council encourages residents and business owners to attend the drop-in session, to gain insights into the project, ask questions, and engage with the experts managing this transformative scheme.

If anyone can not come and do have questions, they can visit Cumberland Council website, or contact Cumberland Council’s Highways Hotline on 0300 373 3736
