Cumberland Council will be carrying out essential carriageway resurfacing works on Front Street, Brampton, commencing on Monday 27 October 2025. The works are expected to take approximately five days, subject to weather and site conditions.
To ensure the safety of both the workforce and the general public, the resurfacing will be undertaken under a full road closure. A signed diversion route will be in place for the duration of the works.
The works will take place daily between 8.00am and 6.00pm, however, Front Street will remain closed 24 hours a day throughout the project.
Access arrangements:
- Emergency service vehicles, pedestrians, and dismounted cyclists will have access maintained at all times.
- Vehicular access outside working hours will be restricted to essential access and deliveries only.
