The works will begin on Monday 27 October 2025, and are expected to last for seven working days, subject to weather and site conditions.

These maintenance works are vital to ensure the continued safety and reliability of the local drainage system.

To facilitate the works safely, three-way temporary traffic lights will be in operation throughout the project. Working hours will be from 8.00am to 4.00pm daily, however, traffic management measures will remain in place for the full duration of the works to protect both the workforce and the public. Minor delays are to be expected, but waste collections and bus services will not be affected.

Cumberland Council thanks residents and road users for their patience and cooperation and apologises for any inconvenience these necessary works may cause. Every effort will be made to minimise disruption.
