This year’s Upperby Gala in Carlisle is set to be a great family day out with entertainment to suit all ages.
The programme for the popular community gala will include a packed programme of fun activities.
Organised by Cumberland Council and supported by the Friends of Hammond’s Pond Group, Upperby Gala will provide fun for all the family on Bank Holiday Monday (26 May), between 1pm and 4pm.
The free event will be held at Hammond’s Pond. This year’s programme will include performances by Community Dance Groups, The Bjamba Band and Pedal Power vs Parkour plus plenty of hands-on activities
Local charity and advice stalls will be in place and there will be chance to sample sports and exercise activities including Yoga Masters and Wheels of Wellness.
Other activities include Carlisle Hammond’s Pond Railway, children’s entertainers and activities, a fun fair, an owl magic display, zoo madness, forest skills tasters and face painters, plus community outreach from Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service and Cumbria Police.
The Upperby Gala has free admission. Food stalls will be providing refreshments throughout the event, plus Hammond’s Pond Café will also be open throughout the day.
