Cumberland Council is inviting residents and businesses to take part in a short survey that will help shape the future of Carlisle.
The Towns Fund Evaluation, a government-led study, is assessing how local improvements, such as the pedestrianisation of Devonshire Street, have impacted pride in our place and business outcomes.
Feedback from residents and businesses will help the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government better understand the changes happening in Carlisle and how they affect the local community. The survey takes just 5–10 minutes to complete and is completely confidential. No personal data will be shared, and participants will not receive any follow-up marketing.
The survey is being conducted by independent researchers Frontier Economics and BMG Research. This is an important opportunity for the community to make its voice heard and contribute to a national report that could influence future investment in Carlisle.
Leader of Cumberland Council, Cllr Mark Fryer, said:
“We are proud to have such strong relationships with central government, whose investment supports not only our city but other key destinations across Cumberland.
“This is a crucial opportunity for businesses and residents to share their views on what we believe is an important investment in Carlisle’s future. The survey takes just 5–10 minutes to complete, and we would greatly appreciate as many people as possible taking part.”
Residents and businesses are encouraged to complete the survey by Friday 5 December.
