Cumberland Council will be carrying out essential carriageway resurfacing works on the U2903 Station Road, Keswick.
The works are scheduled to begin on Monday 19 October 2026 and are expected to be completed by Friday 23 October 2026, subject to weather and site conditions.
To allow the resurfacing to be completed safely, a formal road closure will be in place between 7.00am and 5.00pm each day. During these hours, vehicle access through the closure will not be possible while works are underway. A signed diversion route will be available for motorists.
Access for emergency service vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times, and waste collection services will continue as normal.
Parking will be restricted on Station Road while the works are taking place, and residents and road users are asked to make alternative arrangements.
The improvements form part of the council's £27.3 million investment in maintaining and improving the local highway network, helping to provide safer and smoother journeys for residents, businesses and visitors.
Cumberland Council would like to thank residents, businesses and road users for their patience and cooperation while these essential works are carried out.
