Communities across Cumberland are set to come together this June for a vibrant programme of Big Lunch celebrations, showcasing the very best of local food, sustainability and community spirit.
From community picnics and plant swaps to family breakfasts and local food events, a wide range of activities are taking place throughout the month, bringing neighbours together to share food, friendship and fun.
Organised by local groups, schools and community organisations, the events are part of the national Big Lunch initiative, which encourages people to connect with those around them, alongside Great Big Green Week and Open Farm Sunday.
