Helping Residents Plan Ahead for Upcoming Roadworks in Workington

Road works sign

Cumberland Council is keeping residents, businesses and visitors up to speed with several roadworks and traffic management measures planned across Workington and the surrounding area over the coming months.

The programme includes highways improvements, active travel schemes, resurfacing works, utility upgrades and essential bridge repairs being delivered by Cumberland Council, National Highways, and utility companies.

While every effort is being made to minimise disruption, some schemes will require road closures, temporary traffic lights and diversion routes. Residents are encouraged to plan journeys ahead and allow extra time where necessary.
