Blennerhasset residents have an exciting opportunity to influence future services in their village.
The Lakes to Sea Community Panel is hosting a special event next month - it will include a gentle walk around the area and is a chance for people who live and work there to say what they enjoy about Blennerhasset, what works and what needs fixing.
The event details are:
- Thursday, 26 February, 1.30pm until 3pm
- Blennerhasset and Baggrow Village Hall
The exercise looks at the physical and social aspects of living in Blennerhasset – do the amenities and structure of the village help people to live a good life?
Getting residents’ views will help the community and organisations make better informed decisions, ensuring resources are targeted where they are needed most.
During the walkabout participants, accompanied by councillors and officers, will observe and discuss elements of the village. They will then return to the village hall to hear more about people's views and how they can influence future decisions.
The process helps map what already exists, what works and what could be improved. It is an invaluable opportunity for people to be involved in the future of the village influence the future of their village.
This event is hosted by the Lakes to Sea Community Panel and should last around 90 minutes in total.
Anyone with mobility issues is welcome to join the indoor sessions only.
