Cumberland Council are encouraging parents and carers of children starting primary or secondary school in September 2024, to apply online for home to school transport before the deadline on Friday 31 May.
As part of Cumberland Council’s Skills and Enterprise Programme, unemployed local residents joined up with Cumbria Wildlife Trust to learn about careers and taking part in activities in ecology, forestry, conservation and landscape management.
Following the success of last year’s event, closed circuit town centre racing returns to the pretty seaside town of Silloth as part of the Cumberland Cobbler and Solway Cycling Festival.
Children, parents and carers have been informed of their primary school offer today with over 97.3% offered their first preference in the Cumberland Council area.
