Class Teacher with TLR responsibility

We want an Outstanding Teacher with TLR responsibility for Communication

Accountable to:                       Head of School

Hours:                                     Full Time

Salary:                                        Main scale plus SEN 1, TLR 2 and UPS for suitable candidate

Core purpose: To take a leading role in developing the communication of pupils within our

school.  You will also take a leading role in developing our staff skills in order for them to

deliver communication lessons and sessions to a high standard for the benefit of our pupils. 

In addition, you will support parents and carers in order for them to effectively support the

development of pupils’ communications skills.

We are seeking to appoint a new Classteacher with TLR responsibility for Communication at James Rennie

School; we are a specialist school in the beautiful North of Cumbria for young people aged 3-19 who have

Severe or Profound Learning Difficulties.

You will be supported by the Senior Leadership Team, as such we would encourage candidates new to

middle management alongside experienced colleagues to apply.
