Temporary (until the end of Summer Term 2024) due to budgetary funding

17.5 hours (10.00am-1.30pm Monday to Friday) term time only

Required from March 2024

The Governors of Ashfield Junior School are looking to appoint an excellent, enthusiastic teaching assistant to undertake work in one of our KS2 classes.  The role will be to work alongside a team of teachers and other TAs within year 4 to support a pupil with identified social & emotional needs. You would be required to support the pupil to access their classroom learning, manage their emotions and access positive playtimes.

We would like someone who:

• Has experience of supporting individuals in their physical, emotional or learning needs
• Has high expectations of pupils’ behaviour and a commitment to high standards for all children
• Is enthusiastic and proactive with strong team work skills.
• Is calm and willing to adapt and be flexible to respond to a pupil’s needs.

An Enhanced DBS check is required for this post, as are excellent professional references.
