Teaching Assistant– PCD5 £23,893 per annum , pro rata . Term time only
32.5 hours per week. Fixed Term until July 2025 with possible extension to July 2027

The governors at Ashfield Junior School would like to appoint a teaching assistant to support a pupil on the Special Educational Needs Code of Practice. This post will be on a fixed term contract until July 2025 due to SEN Funding Restrictions. This will be reviewed prior to the contract ending and may continue.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to supporting the learning and development of pupils with additional learning needs within our inclusive school.

We need someone to support a pupil in Year 3 with ASC. This pupil needs someone who will help them to access the school day working on an alternative curriculum based around practical tasks. They need someone who will be patient and calm encouraging them to make good choices and recognising the fantastic practical skills they have. They need someone who will support them through times when they may feel angry, agitated or lack concentration. They need someone that can work well as part of a team of adults providing support.
