Teaching Assistant

Start in September/as soon as possible

The Governors of St Cuthbert’s Catholic Primary School invite applications for the post of Teaching Assistant.  The successful applicant will be required to work 22.5 hours per week on a one to one basis with a child.  

Fixed-Term until 18th July 2025
22.5 hours per week – Mon to Fri (8:30am to 1pm) term time 
Salary £23,893 pro rata, per annum Actual Salary £12,4442 per annum

Skills and qualifications required:
•    NVQ 3 or equivalent in Education or Children & Young People
•    Experience of working on a one to one basis with a child 
•    A commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children and young 
           people
•    Good communication skills
•    The ability to contribute to planning, monitoring and assessment of pupils;  
           assisting the class teacher
•    The ability to work together with and support team members and children
•    Be resilient, flexible, patient and the ability to work under pressure
